Bertrand Ligier

Bertrand Ligier is a French luthier who creates exquisite instruments following the French tradition. He studied art history at Montpellier University, where he learned the history of painting, architecture, and archaeology from ancient to modern times, with a particular focus on Renaissance painting and French Impressionism. Later, he trained in woodworking and furniture making, where he developed skills in creating and restoring furniture, including intricate veneering work. Having played classical guitar for 10 years, he became interested in making guitars, combining his woodworking knowledge with his passion for the instrument.
