Walter Verreydt, born in 1958 in Lièr, Belgium, is a renowned guitar maker and teacher. He completed his first instrument in 1985 and has since interacted with some of the greatest luthiers of his time, including José Luis Romanillos and Daniel Friederich. Verreydt studied the works of prominent makers such as Robert Bouchet, Santos Hernández, Ignacio Fleta, and Hermann Hauser. He also developed a close relationship with German luthier Rolf Eichinger, who shared valuable insights into traditional Spanish guitar-making techniques. These diverse and significant experiences laid the foundation for Verreydt to craft unique and distinctive guitars with his own individual style.
